It was run from the school by the teacher. I think it was three rings to signal that she had arrived so everyone knew there would be school that day.<BR/><BR/>She would ring that bell again when it was time for the kids to leave home and begin the walk to get to school on time.<BR/><BR/>The last bell in the morning would be school is in session and it would not be run again until 12:30 PM which signaled everyone should be back in the building.
